Hike: Redwood Bowl, Redwood Reg. Park, Oakland
This 3.5 mile loop through a beautiful redwood forest starts out easy, but the last mile is uphill.
Directions: From Hwy. 13 in Oakland, take the Joaquin Miller Rd./Lincoln Ave. exit and go east (uphill) on Joaquin Miller Rd. to the light at Skyline Blvd. and turn left. Proceed 1.3 miles, past the Roberts Recreation Area sign and turn right into the parking lot at the MHA cabin. Wear hiking boots and feel free to bring a picnic lunch. |

Stroller Walk: Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland
We’ll walk a one-hour loop through this beautiful, historic cemetery; the paved pathways include some hills.
Directions: From Hwy. 13, take the Thornhill Dr./Moraga Ave. exit and go west on Moraga Ave. to Pleasant Valley Ave. and turn right. Proceed one short block to Piedmont Ave, and turn right. Proceed to the end of Piedmont Ave., enter the cemetery and park near the fountain. Feel free to bring a blanket (no tables) and picnic lunch. |

Kindergym Sunday PlayDay, Oakland
Your crawling baby or exploring toddler (under age 3) can slide, climb, paint, ride in crazy coupes and fire engines, bike, slither in a ball pit, make music, create a playdough masterpiece, jump on a trampoline, pop bubbles and participate in parachute play! One sibling under 3 is FREE.
Directions: From Berkeley, take Hwy. 80 to Hwy. 580 east to the Harrison/Oakland Ave. exit. Follow the “Oakland” sign, then get in the right lane. At the bottom of the exit, go straight through the intersection, which is Perry St. and quickly becomes MacArthur. Kindergym is in Temple Beth Abraham at 327 MacArthur. Walk up the driveway to the left of the stairs to the first door on the right.

Hike: Castle Rock Recreation Area, Walnut Creek
We’ll hike for 90 minutes on this fairly flat, easy trail that has one short, significant climb at the beginning.
Directions: Take Hwy. 24 east to Hwy. 680 north to the first exit at Ygnacio Valley Blvd. Turn right onto Ygnacio Valley Blvd. and continue to Walnut Ave. (not Walnut Blvd., which you’ll pass first!) and turn right. Take Walnut Ave. to the end and turn right onto Castle Rock Rd. and follow it to the parking lot at the end. Wear hiking boots and feel free to bring a picnic lunch. |

Hike: Joaquin Miller Park, Oakland
This is a moderate 3.5 mile loop in a beautiful wooded park.
Directions: From Hwy. 13 in Oakland, take the Joaquin Miller Rd./Lincoln Ave. exit and go east (uphill) on Joaquin Miller Rd. to Skyline Blvd. and turn left. Continue 0.3 miles on Skyline to a wooden fence on the left. Park along the road (no lot), but be aware of “no parking” areas. Wear hiking boots and feel free to bring a picnic lunch. |

Parents’ Night Out |
Parents’ Night Out: Infant & Child CPR Class, Oakland
Do you know what to do if your child stops breathing or chokes on a piece of food? Has it been more than a year since you've taken a CPR class? Don't miss this opportunity to learn or refresh your skills! This private class for East Bay Moms will be taught by American Heart Association certified and licensed Emergency Medical Technician instructor Anna Griffin. The class includes demonstration and manikin practice in CPR, rescue breathing and the choking rescue for infants and children.
Class fee is $35/East Bay Moms members or $40/non-members PER PERSON. Spouses & caregivers are welcome; no children please. Space is limited to 20 participants.

In case of rain during any Friday morning activity, we’ll meet at Habitot Children’s Museum in Berkeley.
Habitot Children’s Museum has become the most popular and award-winning children’s hands on discovery museum in the East Bay, where young children are the “big kids”--exploring the arts and culture in a safe setting designed especially for small hands and bodies and growing minds.
Directions: From Hwy. 24/13, take the Berkeley/Hwy. 13 exit, which becomes Tunnel Rd./Ashby Ave., turn right on Shattuck Ave. and left on Kittredge St. Habitot is located at 2065 Kittredge St. in downtown Berkeley.
